Chateau de Noisy

This opulent residence was originally a farm and has been transformed in a neogothic style castle in the year 1866 by an English architect named Milner. Unfortunately he died before seeing its completition. In former days the castle was called Miranda until it has been renamed to Noisy in the year 1958. It was used as the sommer residence by de Liedekerke Family. Later, in the 2nd world war, it was occupied for a short period by the Nazis and then since 1958 it was used by the SNCB as a vacation home for the SNCB employees children. Due to a fire in one part of the building in the year 1991, the castle has been left abandoned and is falling in ruins.
