After exploiting its underground mineral resources for centuries, France has witnessed the gradual closure of its mining sites. The carreau of the iron ore mine of Rochonvillers is situated in France. The mine has been closed 1981, having been exploited since 1882. The buildings have been used by a riding school for a couple of years, but now the place has become very degraded, but still very interesting for urban exploration photography.
