LuxUrbex - Urban Exploration and Urbex Photography in Luxembourg

I am happy to announce that one of my pictures has been chosen for the latest edition of Quintin Jardine's novel called Skinner's Ordeal. Quintin Jardine is a Scottish author of two series of crime novels, featuring the characters Bob Skinner and Oz Blackstone. This is the fifth of the Bob Skinner novels originally written in 1995. (Quintin Jardine's Official Homepage - Quintin Jardine on Wikipedia). The book can be preordered at amazon.co.uk with the new cover.

I am happy to announce that one of my pictures has been chosen as the cover for a novel of John Macken. John Macken works as a scientist in a large windowless building. He is married with two children. He is the author of three previous books featuring Reuben Maitland - Dirty Little Lies, Trial by Blood and Breaking Point.

A little more than one year ago I got a visit from some fellow Urbexers coming from Canada with a film crew, the producers of "Behind de Camera" and "Crimes of Fashion". We had a wonderful adventure together in the Central Thermique and one episode of the television series photoXplorers is about that visit. As we all know now, here in Luxembourg, the Central Thermique will be destroyed very soon and is now in a very bad condition. Vandals, sprayers and metal thieves found their way into the central and left the central in a state of desolation. In march 2010 the Central will be officially destroyed.

The time we went together into the Central, the building was still protected by the authorities and the atmosphere inside the building was amazing. All this belongs now to the past but the episode dedicated to the Central Thermique reflects exactly the atmosphere of the building at its best times. The whole series can be watched on Travelchannel. For the lucky ones of us, here in Luxembourg, the series may be watched on german Travelchannel over Astra (satellite). The first episode starts on November 30th at 21h15 CET.

I am happy to announce that an article about HDR Photography has been published in the last issue of the Digital Photographer (Issue 29). I am very happy to announce that one of my pictures has been chosen for the cover of the crime novel "The Snowman" from Jo Nesbo (a Norvegian bestselling author and musician).

This afternoon Ben, Vero and me had the pleasure to participate in a TV report about Urban Exploration photography. We were filmed during two explorations an interviewed. This time the interview will be shown very soon on the german TV channel SWR.
